With ever tightening standards for emissions, the moment and pressure of injection are becoming even more critical to ensure a clean burn. CAT have developed a range of machines over the years to detect this feature. These machine and processes may be stand alone or integrated into a fully functional final test machine.

Typical Operation

The machines may be loaded either manually or by robot from either palletiser or conveyor system. The load compartment is isolated from the test compartment to ensure operator safety. Loading takes place during test cycle so that no unnecessary time is lost.

PC and Visual Display Unit

The PC has a touch screen  for ease of operation and displaying of results. CAT have developed a process to capture the spray plume at the moment of injection, analyse the spray plume angles, compare them to a database and display a pass or fail message.
