The Component Dispensing Carousel Model CDC44 has been designed to automatically offer a production line assembly worker the correct component – saving time and eliminating the risk of incorrect selection.

Carousels are available in right and left hand configurations, have 44 component bins and are mounted on castors for easy movement.

Typical Operation

Carousels are ideally suited to assembly production lines where a measurement has to be made and a component selected accordingly, e.g. a shim to produce a correct spacing or a spring to exert the correct force. In these applications a computer or plc is linked to the measuring device and calculates the size of component required. It then signals the carousel to bring the appropriate component to the dispensing hatch. The safety doors open and the operator reaches into the dispensing hatch and takes a component from the carousel bin.

Visual Display Unit

Carousels have a multifunctional display unit to present data such as: part numbers, operating instructions and refilling details.

Dedicated Carousels

If the product run changes frequently, the need to empty and refill the bins can be avoided by having a dedicated carousel for each product. To assist the rapid changeover of carousels, the pneumatic and electrical connections are plug terminated and castors allow easy movement.
